Youth: you are not alone
Your story is the medicine
For teens and young adults figuring out stress, school, screens, AI, and the future. Real talk from people who have been there.
Need help right now? US: call or text 988 or text HOME to 741741. Other countries: helplines. In danger: call your emergency number. Telling a trusted adult is brave, not weak.
It is okay to not be okay
Feeling anxious about grades, friends, your body, the news, or what AI means for your future job is really common. Young people who have lived through it say the same thing: it got easier once they told someone. Feelings are real, and they can change.
Screens, AI, and anxiety
- Notice the after-feeling. After scrolling or chatting with an AI, do you feel better or worse? Trust that signal.
- AI is a tool, not a friend or therapist. Chatbots can sound caring but cannot keep you safe. For anything heavy, talk to a real person.
- Fake is everywhere. Edited bodies, deepfakes, and bots are not real life. Comparison is not a fair fight.
- Phone-free time helps sleep. Try charging your phone outside your room.
- Your future is not cancelled. People skills, curiosity, and care matter more, not less, as machines get smarter.

Youth community rules and safeguards
- Ages: 13 to 17 may join only the separate youth space. 18 to 24 join the main community. No one under 13 may join or submit information on this site.
- Parents or guardians: Ages 13 to 15 need a parent or guardian's consent to join; we encourage 16 to 17 year olds to let a parent or trusted adult know too.
- No private messages with adults. Direct messages are off in the youth space. No adult will ever ask you to chat privately, move to another app, send photos, or keep a secret. If anyone does, tell a moderator and a trusted adult.
- Moderated always. Youth channels are open only when trained, background-checked adult moderators are present.
- Crisis means helplines. If you share that you are in danger, a moderator will point you to 988, a helpline, or emergency services, and may involve a safeguarding lead.
- Stay private. Use a nickname. Never post your school, address, phone, or photos.
All other Community Guidelines and the Safety Protocol apply.
